Cryogenic Processing
Textile, Leather, and Knitting industry

Cryogenics is dramatically changing the profitability and productivity of the textile industry. Although new to many, it is now a proven process. Cryogenic processing has been proven to lengthen the wear resistance of machinery components, needles, pads, feet, grippers and bobbins, plus lots more. One knitting mill has started component processing their knitting machines parts with tremendous life increases in every area tested.

Tremendous savings come from repair cost and labour, but the best savings result from less downtime, less stress and happier workers. Here are a few examples:

Machinery bearings stand up under round the clock operation 2 to 3 times longer than untreated bearings.

Before cryogenic treatment, wear pads on a knitting machine were worn out after 5 weeks of operation. After treatment the pads lasted over 6 months in the same operation.

Knives used to cut fabric lasted 8 times longer for one textile manufacturer.

Nylon drive gears last 3 to 4 times longer in many machinery applications.

Stitching feet last 3 to 4 times longer .

Combs last 2 to 3 times longer in carding operations.
